Not my pantry (from stock.xchng) |
- I may buy food from the perimeter of the store or from the farmer's market (fruits, veggies, bread [yeast is not in my pantry]).
- I guess I only have one rule.
I've used most of the ingredients I've accidentally stocked up on but I'd love suggestions on sassy new ways to prepare:
- cous cous
- rice noodles
- jackfruit
- oatmeal
- pasta (I'm a slave to marinara)
- brown rice
- oatmeal
- nori
- sunflower seeds
- soy curls...endless soy curls
Any suggestions? Any general tips on pantry cleaning? Anything I desperately need to avoid?
Here's one for the oatmeal. MAKE YOUR DAD SOME COOKIES!

I've been going through my pantry lately & trying to slim it down too, nobody needs 8 kinds of pasta!
ReplyDeleteIf I had the stuff you have too much of I'd definitely make the Vietnamese Rice Noodle Salad with Grilled Tofu and the Creamy Mushroom Fettuccini from Appetite For Reduction. Melisser's Jackfruit Carnitas (I think the recipe's in her book), some brown rice sushi, oatmeal cookies & a sunflower seed based rawmesan. As for the soy curls, I have no idea, I've never had them!
